This is a Permanent, Salaried vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We are looking for a new Non-Executive Director to join our Group Board and Commercial Committee, bringing expertise in residential development, strategic assets, sustainability and growth.  In our corporate plan, we are committed to acquiring and developing new homes over the next five years and to becoming a leading developer of social and affordable housing.   

The successful candidate will be play an important role in leading at Board level on growth, placemaking, regeneration and strategic assets, championing strategies and programmes that fall within the Commercial Committee’s remit.   

Job requirements:

  • Be an active member of the Commercial Committee, focusing on growth, residential development, strategic assets and sustainability.
  • Provide oversight and challenge on new development, acquisitions and investment decisions.
  • Support the Board in maximising the value, quality and performance of the Group’s housing and property assets.
  • Lead at Board level on growth, placemaking, regeneration and strategic assets.
  • Champion the strategies and programmes that fall within the Committee’s remit, including those relating to growth, development, strategic assets and sustainability.
  • Promote the Group’s mission to provide high-quality homes for those most in need.

What we’re looking for:

  • Senior experience in residential development, growth, placemaking or regeneration 
  • Experience of evaluating growth opportunities and reviewing detailed financial appraisals for residential development 
  • Experience of strategic asset management, sustainability and risk-based decision making. 
  • Ability to operation effectively at Board and Committee level 
  • A strong commitment to social purpose and housing quality with a passion for providing homes for those in need.
