The role
We are looking for a new Trustee to join our Charity Board, and we are particularly keen to hear from people with charity experience of either providing or using the type of services we provide.
As a Trustee you will help to guide the strategic direction, integrity and impact of our work. Trustees collectively ensure that our homelessness services and domestic abuse support is well-governed, financially sustainable and delivers clear benefit to the individuals and communities we support.
Job requirements:
Seek assurance on governance, financial oversight, risk management and internal control.
Encourage and participate in constructive discussion, open challenge and well-informed decision-making.
Work with the Executive Team and external advisers or regulators to support strong governance.
Ensure transparent communication of key governance, risk and performance matters.
Report significant issues, risks and recommendations to the Group Board when required.
Support investigations or follow-up actions arising from governance, audit or risk concerns
What we’re looking for:
Experience of either providing or using the type of services we provide
Senior leadership experience
Previous board or committee experience, ideally within the charity sector
Knowledge through experience on the wider economic and social factors affecting vulnerable communities and service delivery
